About

Welcome!

Allow me to introduce myself, Rahul Carpenter, and provide you with a glimpse into my background.

I hail from India and received my education there. At the tender age of ten, I was introduced to the world of computers, much like most children of that era. Initially, my primary interest lay in playing games, but my father had different plans for me. He enrolled me in computer courses, where I gained a foundational understanding of computers on the Windows 98 platform. Yes, I am proud to be a child of the 90s. Fueled by curiosity, I delved deeper into the inner workings and construction of computers, making troubleshooting my newfound hobby.

As I grew older, I acquired proficiency in Windows applications and troubleshooting various equipment. In 2016, my journey led me to Canada, where I discovered a passion for technology within the church community. Working alongside the tech team, I assisted in managing live streams that reached audiences worldwide, handling everything from camera equipment to the production environment.

Motivated by the alarming rise of cybersecurity breaches making headlines, I developed a keen interest in understanding how we can safeguard ourselves against cyber attacks. This drove me to enroll at York University, where I could delve deeper into the subject and explore methods of protection and defense. During my studies, fortune smiled upon me as I secured a role as a support engineer at an MSP (Managed Service Provider). In this position, I cater to over 90 clients, offering level 1, 2, and 3 support, resolving server issues, and providing comprehensive solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.

Through this website, I aim to share my insights on information technology and its security aspects. I eagerly await your comments and feedback, as we embark on a journey of collective learning and growth together.
